Driving Collaboration at Contributor Day

The event kicked off with Contributor Day on February 20th, offering an opportunity for attendees to contribute directly to the WordPress project. This initiative fosters a culture of collaboration, where professionals of all skill levels can support, learn, and enhance WordPress together.

One of the standout experiences was the Human Library sessions, where industry experts provided one-on-one mentorship and guidance. Our team had the privilege of engaging with some of the brightest minds in the field:

  • Robert Windisch shared insights on managing multiple websites using WordPress Multisite.
  • Dhanendran Rajagopal discussed implementing Microservices in Headless WordPress, emphasizing scalability and flexibility.
  • Jamie Marsland, from Automattic, explored the advantages of Block Themes over traditional page builders.
  • Ryan Welcher guided us through Gutenberg feature blocks, offering hands-on development techniques.
  • Ziv Geurts conducted a website audit session, giving valuable recommendations for optimizing one of our projects.
